After "The Devil Wears Prada"

Finally after five years the movie was released I watch it for the first time. And oh yeah, it impresses me. 

First, this movie reminds me on ‘the right to choose’ and its implications.

Well, just like Andy (Andrea), I often say that we have no option or we don’t have any chance to choose and decide. I act like people are guilty for everything that comes to my life, especially for the bad things. But hey! I’m not a little girl anymore. Big girl decides for herself. I have the right to choose! Shit happens to everyone, but there’s still a chance in every single problems. When I don’t have the courage to choose and take the risk, then it’s not about other person but me.

Second, this “Devil Wears Prada” leads me to a personal question: what do you want in life?

Right after the movie ended, I thought this movie tried to show me two life-choices. First, live glamorously, fashionably and sensationally as a famous-modern person then you’ll ruin your relationship with your friends, partner, family, etc. OR, live as simple person, unfashionably, and little bit traditional then you will have a perfect life and love surrounds you.

The next 30 minutes, I changed my mind. No! That’s not what the movie wants to tell me! Yes, Andrea was never really happy when she worked in Runaway. Then she be happier after decided to quit. But Miranda, Emily, James, Christian –those glamour, rich, and fashionable persons in Runaway circle—, I cannot say that their life are not happy! Both Andrea and these rich guys know what they want in their life. That’s the key. Well, no one can live their life respectfully without knowing the aims of their life, can’t they?

Hahahahaa…. Hey Devil with Prada! You’re the real angel here!
